HISTORY

Our company was started by Mr. William Brandt, in Fresno California. At that time the company's sole purpose was a newspaper distributorship. Soon after starting the company Mr. Brandt's only son, Phillip, joined him. As a father son duo they quickly became one of the largest newspaper distributorships in the Central San Joaquin Valley, servicing residential, businesses, and stocking countless newspaper racks across the Central Valley. As they continued to grow more and more papers wanted them to distribute their papers, both local and national papers.

In the late 1980's a major paper, the Chronicle wanted their papers to be distributed in the San Joaquin Valley but had no way to get the papers there. Phillip told the Chronicle, for a fee he would drive and pick it up. Soon after they asked him to pick up papers for other distributors as well, so with just one pick up truck our transportation and trucking business was born.

By 1990, with his father retired, Phillip saw the opportunity for growth in trucking and logistics and gave up their distributorship and was strictly a trucking and transportation company for hire. Now 25 plus years later Professional Courier & Newspaper Distribution, DBA Brandt Brothers is the largest newspaper transportation company on the West Coast. While we have specialized in newspapers we have trucked for many different companies and industries as we not only are a trucking and transportation company but also specialize in logistics and dock management.
